XXL diaphragm wall shaft in Slovenia

Gigantic dimensions

An extraordinary structure was built in Krško, Slovenia, as part of the Slovenian final storage project for low- and medium-level radioactive waste: an XXL diaphragm wall shaft 65 m deep and 32 m wide with a wall area of 6,500 m². Our specialist foundation engineering experts realized this technically demanding structure using state-of-the-art equipment and digital tools for process optimization. Thanks to precise planning, innovative systems such as the BAUER Cutter Inclination System (CIS®), and the commitment of the team, the project was successfully completed in 2025 without any rework – a milestone in geotechnical precision and sustainable construction.
