Foundation work for highway expansion in Amstelveen

Time to get electric! For the expansion of Highway A9 in the Netherlands, our team from Bauer Spezialtiefbau is using the innovative electric drilling rig KR 806-3E from KLEMM Bohrtechnik GmbH for the first time. The last construction section of 11.4 km includes the installation of 12,000 anchor piles in total with a depth of up to 33 m. Particular challenges here: limited spatial conditions and high groundwater level. This electric drilling rig in use for the first time here, equipped with battery and grid connection, has already executed drilling cycles autonomously and operates with low noise emissions. These qualities are ideal for use in cities, where ongoing traffic and environmental protection are the top priorities.
