Dike rehabilitation Mündelheim

To protect Mündelheim against future flooding, a cut-off wall will be constructed along a new dike. For this project, Bauer Spezialtiefbau was tasked with executing a Mixed-in-Place cut-off wall in the subsoil of a new planned dike. One particular challenge was the subsoil composed of sand, silt and gravel. Works encompassed an approx. 24,800 m² cut-off wall with a thickness of 55 cm and a maximum depth of 21 m, executed using an RG 25.
