Dike rehabilitation of Aubecken Reservoir in Dogern

Four decades ago, the Aubecken Reservoir on the Rhine River near Dogern became operational. Due to leaks in the ring dam, the owner Schluchseewerk AG decided to remediate the dam. For this project, Bauer executed a cut-off wall of approximately 13,500 m² using the Mixed-in-Place (MIP) method in particularly challenging geotechnical soil conditions over a length of 980 m. This sustainable method makes it possible to save considerable time and costs compared with alternative construction methods.
