Deepest diaphragm wall element for subway project in Patna

A record in India

Reaching new heights thanks to record-breaking depths: Bauer Spezialtiefbau installed the deepest barrette element during the subway project in Patna with a depth of 75 m. This element, constructed with a hydraulic grab, is particularly noteworthy because such extreme depths are rarely executed in this manner. In total, our team from Bauer India produced 636 diaphragm wall and barrette elements that serve as impermeable, stable foundations for four metro stations. The goal of the project is to shorten travel times, improve the traffic situation and unburden roadways to increase the quality of life in Patna over the long term. No problem for our experts: they were able to successfully complete the project despite the challenges involved.
