Taba Penanjung - Bengkulu Toll Road
The construction of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road is one of Indonesia's strategic projects. The Trans-Sumatra Toll Road connects the island of Sumatra form Aceh to Bakauheni. The aim of this project is to improve transportation links, reduce logistic costs and promote industrial growth on the island of Sumatera. P.T. BAUER Pratama Indonesia was commissioned by Hutama Karya Infrastructure (HKI) to carry out the bored pile foundation for one of the construction sections of the Trans-Sumatera Toll Road, namely the Taba Penanjung-Bengkulu section. Our experts installed a total of 769 bored piles with diameters of 1000 mm and 1500 mm for several bridges distributed in six zones along this section. The access roads posed a particular challenge: Because when moving from one area to another, the terrain was very hilly. In addition, the access roads to the construction site were no longer passable in heavy rain.
