Soil Improvement for Double Track Kroya

P.T. Bauer Pratama Indonesia has been commissioned to expand the Java railway network on two tracks. The aim is to increase the capacity of the line to cope with future transportation demand in Central Java, improve the investment climate and promote the economic development of the region. For the construction work, BG 14 drill rigs were used to drill and grout 2,903 cement columns with a diameter of 1000 mm. The column lengths varied between 9 m and 20 m and were all produced with the same mix. This is the second time that our experts on site have used the DSM (Deep Soil Mixing) method for soil improvement in a soft soil environment for a railway foundation system.
