Foundation work for New Grand River Bridge
Our experts from Bauer Foundations Canada were commissioned to construct the foundations for a new bridge crossing the Grand River for the expansion of Canada’s busiest highway, Highway 401 in Ontario. What this means: A total of 50 fully cased foundation piles with a diameter of 2100 mm, up to a depth of 18 m with a 3 m rock sockets. The multi-phase highway expansion project included large diameter foundation piles, temporary secant retaining wall with temporary anchors. The foundation? Early concept development with the Client solidified the construction.
