Mt. Malinao Project

The Tiwi Geothermal Field is located on the northeast side of Mt. Malinao in Albay Province, Philippines, approximately 350 km southeast of Manila. It has been providing steam to the National Power Corporation plants since 1979, and in doing so, drilling of additional production wells is necessary to ensure the sustainable long-term operation of the facilities.
Bauer Philippines was awarded with the drilling works for two wells of 36.5 m depth and including installation of 30 in diameter conductor casing. Drilling was carried out using BG 15 drilling rig and the project was completed in a month, including inter-location transfers between the two wells.
