Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP)
The Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP) is the Philippines' first underground mass transit system, spanning 36 km with 15 stations. BAUER Philippines is responsible for the second phase, focusing on the construction of three underground stations (North Avenue, Quirino Highway, and Tandang Sora) and associated tunnelling works.
At North Avenue Station, BAUER constructed 385 King Post Columns or 11,091.00 lm of ø1200mm (max. depth: 30.50 m); including installation of H-beams), 120 Diaphragm Wall panels (1200mm thick, max depth 30.16m), and 48 Secant Pile Walls (Ø880mm, max depth 30.46m). At Quirino Highway Station, works included 151 King Posts (1.2m dia., 33m max depth), 114 Diaphragm Wall panels (1.2m wide, 34m max depth), 59 Sheet Piles (880mm dia., max depth 24m), and 312 Sheet Piles with 200m2 of MIP for Creek Diversion. For Tandang Sora, the scope includes installing 252 Steel H-Beams (with Guide Wall), 18,008m2 of Diaphragm Wall panels (1.2m thick), and 136 King Posts (Ø1200mm), and completed by early week of October 2025.
