Makban Steam Field Gathering Facility

Drilling for sustainable power

The Makiling-Banahaw (Mak-Ban) geothermal field is one of the world’s biggest geothermal power projects in the world. The entire complex covering an area of 700 hectares is located in the municipalities of Bay and Calauan in the Laguna province, and Santo Tomas, in the Batangas province. The MakBan Steam Gathering Facility consists of steam production wells and surface facilities required to produce, transport, and process geothermal fluids to deliver clean steam to the power plants. As part of its development, our experts from Bauer Philippines was awarded with the drilling of ten  wells at 36 m depth and installation of 42 in diameter conductor casing, all of which were carried out successfully using BG 30 drilling rig.
