Excavation pit construction for Velaris Residences

The 30.61 hectares of Bridgetowne is a mixed township and business park situated in a former industrial area on both banks of the Marikina River. It will be a community consisting of seven office towers, a shopping mall, five-star hotel and residential condominiums. Bauer Philippines was commissioned for the foundation works of the first tower development, the Velaris Residences. For the one-level basement, a MIPTM wall with a total length of 358 m and a depth of 8 m was constructed using sand replacement method, while for the sewage treatment plant and elevator pit, a tangent pile wall with a total length of 126 m and a depth of 20 m, reinforced with ground anchors. Bauer was also awarded with bulk excavation works of 51,000 cbm in volume. Aside from these, a total of 343 bored piles with diameter of 800 mm, 1000 mm, and 1500 mm down to a depth of 35 m were installed, with dynamic load tests and integrity tests carried out for 29 piles.
