Securing Cairo's Underground

Bauer Egypt was tasked with key foundation and groundwater control works for Phase 2 of Cairo Metro Line 3, spanning 7.7 km from Abbassia Square to Haroun Street. Our Experts constructed 88,000 m² of diaphragm walls, up to 52 m deep, along with four circular shafts and 68 barrettes. Additionally, 4,500 m³ of sand were treated with a soft gel plug to stabilize the underground stations at Cairo Fair, Stadium, Koleyet Al Banat, and Al-Ahram. The project was vital in securing the integrity of these stations.
