Bauer Egypt was commissioned by the National Authority for Tunnels to execute critical workd for Cairo Metro Line 3, Phase 1. The project focused on the construction of four stations —located in Abbasia, Abdu Basha, El Geish, and Bab El Sharia — and five annexes. Our expert's scope of work included the construction of diaphragm wakks and barrettes with thicknesses ranging from 800 mm to 1,200 mm, reaching depths of up to 60 m. A total of 114,000 m² of diaphragm walls were executed. Additionally, Bauer undertook the complex task of grouting a soft gel plug at depths of 40 to 60 m, with varying thicknesses from 3 to 8.5 m, covering an area of 18,000 m². Bauer Egypt successfully completed the work that was crucial in reinforcing the stability and durability of the underground structures.
