Diaphragm wall work for Chennai Metro

Bauer Engineering India successfully completed the construction of the diaphragm wall for the Chennai Metro three months ahead of the original schedule. The scope of work encompassed the construction of 15,144 square meters of diaphragm wall, with thicknesses of 0.8 m and 1.2 m, in challenging sandstone geology. The trenching in rock reached a depth of 10 m. This complex operation required meticulous planning, including strategic traffic diversion and the preparation of islands for smooth traffic management, ensuring minimal disruption during construction.
