Foundation work for major project in Saudi Arabia

Sustainable tourism by the Red Sea

Approximately 500 km north of the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, a new recreation area is currently being established as part of the “Red Sea Islands” Project that will combine nature, culture and adventure. By 2030, a total of 28,000 m² of beach, desert, mountains and volcanic areas on 22 islands will be transformed into an environmentally-friendly tourism center in Saudi Arabia. The sensational achievement: As part of this megaproject in Saudi Arabia, Bauer installed piles for several bridge structures with diameters of up to 1,500 mm. The specially manufactured floating crane from the client Archirodon and their team assisted the Bauer piling team with the construction of 87 offshore piles. This was no everyday place to work, even for the experts from Bauer.
