Dam rehabilitation work on the Eagle Mountain Dam
The Eagle Mountain Dam and Lake, northwest of Fort Worth, Texas, is 25 m tall and 1,463 m long. The owner Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) tasked the experts from Bauer Spezialtiefbau with the planned dam rehabilitation work. To ensure ongoing flood protection and water supply, an 80 m long sandstone cut-off wall was constructed up to a depth of 18 m. BAUER Foundation Corp. executed the cut-off wall using the Cutter Soil Mixing (CSM) method to reduce the amount of seepage water. The CSM panels were constructed in a specific sequence to minimize the porosity of the soil. The scope of service also included verification drilling and injection work.
