Cut-off wall work for Semantok Dam in Indonesia
The Semantok Dam in East Java, Indonesia, is the longest dam in all of Southeast Asia. With a dam crest of 3,100 m and a height of 31.56 m, it will create a reservoir with 32.67 million m³ of water. In addition to water supply, it will irrigate 1,554 ha of land and generate 1.01 MW of electricity. Our experts from BAUER Pratama Indonesia installed a 703 m long cut-off wall as a secant pile wall to support this project. Despite some challenges like flooding and varied geological conditions, the cut-off wall fulfilled all the requirements and achieved exceptional permeability test results.
