Foundation work for the new Damietta Metal Bridge

The new Damietta Metal Bridge is an important vessel constructed to overcome the narrowness of the existing old bridge crossing the Nile at the middle of Damietta city. For Bauer Egypt, the offshore piling works of the project included 88 piles, 42.5 m deep, in addition to 24 piles 38 m deep, all are 800 mm in diameter. While the onshore piling works included 16 piles, 1,200 mm in diameter, 24 piles 1,500 mm in diameter and 48 protection piles 800 mm in diameter, all of them 18 m deep.
